Presentation

It's May 20, 1500 John III Cardailhac request by a "task to lease" to John of Massaris Millac and Antoine de Moissac build a tower or "turris" of three floors at the current location.
In 1572, when the sacking of the abbey Belleperche by the Huguenots, the monks escaped the massacre took refuge in the castle of Larrazet. This castle was largely looted and destroyed during the Revolution and became national property, it was bought in 1791 by Groc, which saved the building covering it.
The architectural interest of this castle lies not only in the facade of Flamboyant Gothic style and fireplaces, but also in the interior sculptural decoration and the magnificent vaulted staircase warheads that revolves around a central core, according to a new process imported from Italy in 1500 and used to Tursi small palace in Rome.
